Recent Progress in Applications of Non-Thermal Plasma for Water Purification, Bio-Sterilization, and Decontamination

Various reactive oxygen and nitrogen species are accompanied by electrons, ultra-violet (UV) radiation, ions, photons, electric fields in non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma. Plasma technology is already used diverse fields, such as biomedicine, dentistry, agriculture, ozone generation, chemical synthesis, surface treatment, coating. Non-thermal plasma also considered a promising environmental pollution control. The degradation of organic inorganic pollutants will be massively advanced plasma-generated species. investigations on the use for wastewater purification have been performed, advancements continuing to made this area. This work provides critical review ongoing improvements related control outlines operational principle, standards, parameters, boundaries with special focus compounds treatment.
